How do the decissant dehumidifiers operate?
Desiccant dehumidifiers use an absorbent material, usually Zeolite, that soaks up water vapour from the air, just like silica gel. The desiccant material is located in the wheel, that slowly rotates. The fan draws the air through that wheel, and the air dries. Moisture is extracted from the desiccant by heating a portion of the wheel not being used to dry the air. This transforms the water back into vapour, which is then passed over a cold plate to cool the mixture and cause the water to condense.
Desiccant dehumidifiers will work best in temperatures from 1℃ up to 40℃. They are also very practical and efficient with a very high capacity for water extraction.
How do compressor dehumidifiers operate?
Compressor dehumidifiers work best at higher temperatures, starting from 15℃. Note that tests are made in the temperature of about 30℃ and humidity level of 80%.
The performance of such dehumidifier tends to depend on environmental conditions, which is referred to as sensible capacity. Note that in the real working environment, the sensible performance of a compressor dehumidifier will be lower, that in the test environment.
What is the difference between the compressor and decissant boat dehumidifier?
The compressor dehumidifier works best at 15℃ or higher. The desiccant dehumidifier, on the other hand, can work at temperatures as low as 1℃. In case you plan to leave the boat dehumidifier without supervision for an extended period during winter, the desiccant dehumidifier is ideal for you. Ensure the dehumidifier has the automatic restart feature, in case the electricity is unstable.
What are the important features to look for in a boat dehumidifier?
The crucial features are the humidistat, automatic reset and a cut off switch. The automatic reset will turn the dehumidifier on when the power source comes back. The humidistat will make sure that your dehumidifier is working on an optimal level, and will turn off as soon as the humidity reaches the pre-set level. The cut-off switch will stop the operation of the dehumidifier, as soon as the water tank is full. There is also a light indicator of such an event that will turn on.

I live in a very humid area and I run a bakery, which is not very easy to do in all this humidity. THe ising has to dry quickly and with all this moisture it just takes forever. This unit is great and helped me a lot! wonderful product!

I would never imagine that my house can accumulate THAT MUCH moisture. This unit was able to pull water seemingly out of nowhere,. Overall, I'd say this is a solid product, no complaints.

I have used dehumidifiers for more than a decade and I have to say, this unit is very promising. I live on the side of a hill and there's constant water pressure against the foundation. This beast was up to the challenge for sure

The dehumidifier has been in our house for about 3 months now and no complaints so far. It's easy to maintain and doesn't require much effort. Just take the tray out once it's full. Or you can attach the draining hose and forget you have this unit at all!

I've been using dehumidifiers for the past 10 years and the first two were famous brands. They both didn't last long, surprisingly, so I took a chance on this brand, which was unfamiliar to me, and trust the reviews. Hope it won't disappoint.
